ANSWERS:

How much education time is needed for nurses to learn the system?
As a rule, the learning curve is fairly short. The education process includes 2-3 days of training for "Super Users". End users are provided 3 hours of classroom training with practice time adjusted to meet the needs of the student. Pro-MED Clinical Specialists (nurses with Emergency Nursing experience) are on-site for at least 5 days following "go-live" in order to provide support in a live environment.

How do you measure the learning curve?
A good indicator of how well nurses have adapted to program utilization in a live environment is the amount of time it takes to triage a patient. It usually takes 9-11 minutes to triage a patient on the first day of program utilization. By the end of the first week, triage time has decreased to approximately 6 or 7 minutes and decreased to 4-5 minutes in 14-21 days.

What do you have for a small Emergency Department with limited financial resources?
The ProForms program is perfect for a small Emergency Department with a limited budget that has a desire to improve the quality of nursing and physician documentation as well as discharge instructions that are provided to patients. Again, the nursing documentation, physician documentation, and patient teaching instructions in this program are modular and may be purchased individually.

How much down time can be expected?
We recognize the importance of 24 hour program functionality. Therefore, Pro-MED is designed to run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without interruption. Three or four times a year we may require minimal downtime (30 minutes each) in order to upload new files for enhancements that are provided to keep the program current with the changing needs of the healthcare industry.

What type of data backup is provided?
